Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Technician to assist in assembling components and piping spools for water treatment equipment. The role involves operating power tools, lifting, reading engineering drawings, and adhering to strict EHS standards.

You will work as part of a fabrication team, support the assembly of PVC and metal piping, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced shop environment, with opportunities to grow into higher-level mechanical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in mechanical trades such as fabrication or auto repair preferred.
• Trade school certificate in mechanical trade is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fabricating components and PVC/metal piping for water treatment equipment.
• Operate power tools including drills, grinders, and saws in a safe manner.
• Follow EHS rules, maintain clean work areas, and manage materials per BOM.
• Read shop orders and assemble equipment as part of a team.
• Maintain records and reports as required.
