Job Description

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the mechanical aspects of installation and servicing ImalPal Group equipment. Tasks include installation, inspection, repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and setup of equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and safety standards, ensuring production lines meet capacity and quality expectations.

For new installations or service operations, the candidate will supervise customer personnel or assembly crews, ensuring equipment is assembled and set up per technical specifications. They will commission equipment and train customer crews on operation post-startup.

This role requires hands-on involvement during installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Travel to customer plants in the USA and Canada is required, with remote work possible when not on-site, along with visits to ImalPal Group Service NA offices as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Travel to customer sites to maintain and troubleshoot equipment, performing various mechanical tasks.
  2. Supervise and perform installation of new equipment, including assembly, commissioning, and checkout.
  3. Assist and train operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
  4. Oversee repairs, rebuilds, and upgrades of machinery.
  5. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and technical documents.
  6. Conduct routine inspections and audits.
  7. Prepare inspection reports, test logs, and acceptance protocols.
  8. Monitor contractors to ensure safety standards and policies are followed.
  9. Maintain professional communication with customers.
  10. Demonstrate safety leadership and adhere to safety policies.
  11. Be available for on-call and emergency services outside regular hours.
  12. Travel within the US and Canada.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Understanding electrical wiring and basic electrical work, including schematics, is a plus and will be highly considered.
