SCOPE OF ROLE: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports process optimization, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, responding to interruptions, documenting processes, and training staff. They assist root cause investigations and corrective actions in an optical manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Effectively troubleshoot machines, respond to interruptions, support root cause analysis, document processes, train staff, identify improvements, evaluate non-conforming materials, and perform preventative maintenance, utilizing lean and 5S principles.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a 2-year Technical Associate Degree, with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience in optical environments and with lean manufacturing is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Mechanical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting, equipment repair experience, and ability to identify process improvements are desirable.
