Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic Specialist to repair and maintain mechanical equipment at Texas sites (Markham Bay City or Damon locations). The role requires experience with compressors, engines, turbines, and related equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and reliability.

The position involves overtime, after-hours calls, and potential overnight travel. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work in an industrial environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of reciprocating/centrifugal compressor units.
• Preferable experience with turbine engines, natural gas compressors, auxiliary engines, and related equipment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment.
• Perform heavy mechanical maintenance and replacement of reciprocating and turbine engines and compressors, including prime movers and auxiliary units.
• Follow safety policies and company standards; maintain detailed documentation and records.
• Operate forklifts and light industrial equipment as required.
• Respond to after-hours calls and overtime as needed.
