Job summary

Kinder Morgan Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and auxiliary units, including prime movers and turbines.

Reports to a Crew Leader to ensure consistent maintenance practices and accurate documentation. You will mentor teammates, identify safety and environmental concerns, and complete paperwork on time while complying with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance of reciprocating/centrifugal compressor units; turbine engines and natural gas compressors preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Mentor team mates and other company personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Identify, report, and assist in correcting safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
• Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
• Overtime may be required and is anticipated.
• Required to carry a company-provided cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
• This position requires following all safety policies so that tasks and assignments are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, with emphasis on finishing each day injury and incident free.
