• Monitor productivity, labor costs, and material usage.
• Conduct site quality inspections and coordinate testing activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Attend and lead subcontractor and site meetings.
• Prepare daily reports and site documentation.
• Maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities.

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout New York.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on construction leader with a strong background in heavy mechanical projects, field operations, labor management, scheduling, safety, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on major mechanical construction projects


• Manage field labor, subcontractors, and site logistics


• Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, owners, and engineers


• Develop and maintain project schedules and look-ahead plans


• Monitor productivity, labor costs, and material usage


• Conduct site quality inspections and coordinate testing activities


• Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget


• Attend and lead subcontractor and site meetings

Requirements

• 6+ years of heavy mechanical construction experience


• Strong HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems knowledge


• Proven experience managing large commercial construction projects


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications


• Experience supervising field labor and subcontractors


• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills


• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management tools


• OSHA 30, DOB SST, or Superintendent License preferred


• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
