Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Knightdale, NC is hiring for a Team Lead, Tetris Mechanical Sub-Assembly. You will direct daily activities of workers, set priorities, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time production in a fast-paced mechanical sub-assembly area.

You will coach staff, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement using lean methods while maintaining adherence to ISO9001 standards and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements as well as hold their team accountable.
• Communicate effectively with team members, Supervisors, and other departments.
• Must verify conformance of work to specifications.
• Understand the importance of quality control, and the different techniques used to ensure that products meet quality standards
• Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
• Identify assembly and production issues.
• Addresses discrepancies and remedies the problems. Prevent problems from occurring
• Motivate and inspire team members. Resolve conflicts and build a positive team culture.
• Responsible for the safety of personnel, processes, equipment, and housekeeping.
• Ensures training and cross-training is conducted and training records are maintained.
• Leads operational efficiency by reviewing manpower and equipment requirements based on production needs.
• Troubleshoots problems and participates in problem solving teams.
• Identifies, recommends, and assists in the implementation of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships.
• Report inventory use as required.
• Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of workers in the Mechanical Sub-Assembly area and sets daily goals and priorities.
• Lead a collaborative team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide input to supervisor on performance reviews and coaching.
• Ensure work is completed with high workmanship and on-time delivery.
• Define daily and weekly team task goals and monitor performance.
