InTest EMS, headquartered in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, is seeking a Mechanical Staff Engineer to design test head positioners, docking hardware and electromechanical interfaces, collaborating across engineering disciplines to meet customer requirements. The role will deliver value to our EMS business and support a global organization.

The Mechanical Staff Engineer will lead projects from concept through production, perform FEA stress and tolerance analyses, and coordinate with operations on

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline; required
• Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience; required
• Knowledge of machining capabilities with metals and plastics; preferred
• SolidWorks or related 3D design experience; required
• Microsoft Office Suite; required
• ERP experience; preferred
• Document management system experience; preferred
• Occasional travel (less than 10%); required

Responsabilidades

• Designs industrial/manufacturing equipment, processing, and positioning systems from concept to production release
• Interprets and maintains technical drawings, manuals, and installation procedures
• Works directly with customers, sales and marketing to understand product requirements
• Researches, designs, evaluates, and constructs prototypes/production samples meeting requirements
• Executes work to schedule and project plans
• Consults with Operations to select manufacturing methods and suppliers
• Monitors all aspects of production including fabrication and supplier selection
• Leads technicians/CAD designers on design tasks
• Investigates equipment issues and recommends fixes
• Performs other related duties as assigned
