Job summary

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Service Manager in North Carolina to direct daily work orders to technicians, oversee safety compliance, and drive service productivity. You will coordinate with the branch and operations manager on personnel files, certifications, and fleet needs.

You will also support sales through quotes, part lookups, and customer dispute resolution, while ensuring efficient warehouse and service bays operations and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience assigning service work orders to technicians.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn other software (AS400, SAP, BTN).
• Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification (preferred).
• Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications (strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of state/federal OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receives, creates, assigns, and monitors all service work orders to technicians.
• Responsible for the productivity of technicians, with a focus on monthly revenue goals.
• Assist branch and operations manager with maintaining up-to-date employee admin files, DOT Med Cards, ASE/TIA certifications, forklift safety, evaluations.
• Provide sales staff support through service quotes, product look-ups, and resolving customer disputes.
• Manage customer scheduled fleet work and scrap tire analysis.
• Assist with warehouse duties (inventory, barcoding, scan billing).
• Conduct daily reviews of Warehouse, Service Bays/Trucks, and Equipment for safety and organization.

Snider Fleet Solutions is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Service Manager to provide the daily direction and distribution of work orders to technicians. In addition, the Mechanical Service Manager provides oversight of work performed and ensures that proper safety procedures and processes are followed. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are vital for this role, as positive teamwork is important for business growth.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience assigning service work orders to technicians

• Strong working knowledge of both diesel and gasoline powered class 5 through 8 heavy trucks
• Proficient understanding of VMRS codes and TMC recommended practices
• Knowledge of OEM and aftermarket parts/suppliers within the mechanical industry
• Valid Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides sales staff support and supervision through service quotes, product look-ups, alleviating any customer disputes or requests, etc.
• Manage customer scheduled fleet work, scrap tire analysis, and other customer needs
• Assist with warehouse duties (inventory, load/unload, barcoding, scan billing, etc.)
• Conducts daily reviews of Warehouse, Service Bays/Trucks, and Equipment in order to ensure safety, compliance, cleanliness, and organization
• Ensures proper branch opening and closing procedures are being followed
