Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mechanical Project Team Leader in Lynnfield, MA to drive retrofit projects with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will lead day-to-day coordination, estimate work, and support sales while delivering projects on time and within budget.

The role requires extensive field leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and costs.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of technical and operational experience in service projects, especially retrofits/remodels.
• Experience leading mechanics on projects up to $2M for Level 1 or $3M–$4M for Level 2.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with project management software and financial accounting systems.
• Strong PC skills including MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and control mechanical retrofit projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate daily activities of mechanics and subcontractors.
• Prepare mechanical estimates and present proposals to customers.
• Recruit, hire, and staff the project team.
• Monitor schedules, costs, billings, and risk to delivery.
• Ensure safety and contract compliance throughout the project.
