Braskem is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support Maintenance & Operations in Marcus Hook, PA. You will work on fixed and rotating equipment, leading troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance tasks with planners.

You will contribute to MOC processes, predictive maintenance programs, and PM optimization while guiding cross-functional teams and debugging equipment issues. Strong mechanical background required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the refining, petrochemical, or chemical process preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are critical for effective communication of complex issues across the organization, as well as for mentoring and consensus building.
• The individual must have or develop basic proficiency in the following areas with the ability to develop into a subject matter expert in particular areas: API/ASME, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance concepts, and the use of computer software tools (SAP, Microsoft Office, Meridium).
• Must be an excellent communicator, a strong leader, have solid interpersonal skills, and be able to interact with all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to planners in the development of work orders for day-to-day execution.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to support complex troubleshooting of equipment issues.
• MOC creation for plant equipment modification.
• Provide oversight for predictive maintenance programs including vibration, thermography, lubrication analysis, and ultrasonics.
• Field oversight of PM efficacy and adjustment of PM's as needed.
• Implement reliability best practices.
• Develop and optimize preventive maintenance tasks, and support maintenance activities.
• Equipment repairs, including issuing ITP’s as required.
• Capital equipment replacements or overhauls.
• Conduct root cause investigations of mechanical equipment failures.
• Reviewing and responding to feedback from work execution team
