Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Morgantown, PA seeks a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to maximize safety, quality and productivity through maintenance of plant equipment. You’ll lead preventive/predictive programs, analyze failures and drive continuous improvement in equipment availability and throughput.

Responsibilities include safety design modifications, root cause analysis, cost justifications, and coordinating maintenance and contractor activities to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in heavy industrial manufacturing (preferred).
• 5+ years in preventive and predictive maintenance with high voltage/electrical exposure.
• Experience leading project upgrades and cost justifications.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical safety modifications and improvements to equipment.
• Investigate mechanical safety issues and corrective actions.
• Develop, document, and improve preventive maintenance programs.
• Provide technical support to return equipment to operation and minimize downtime.
• Analyze production delay data to tailor maintenance tasks.
• Prepare root cause analysis reports and determine corrective actions.
• Coordinate outside contractor work to minimize downtime and cost.
• Develop performance metrics for continuous improvement.
