Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Hardware Reliability for Starlink to develop and implement reliability tests for new products and subcomponents. You will work across mechanical, electrical, RF, software, and test teams to ensure reliability from concept to high-volume production.

The role requires a hands-on approach on the factory floor and in the test lab, with opportunities to influence product design and manufacturing processes. Onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in test, analysis, manufacturing, or hardware development (internship and project experience is applicable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability test strategies for new products and subcomponents to maximize field life and minimize early life failures.
• Develop, implement, and validate test and inspection processes for new and existing products and production processes, ensuring that criteria are objective and reliability goals are met.
• Automate reliability test initiatives and reporting using data visualization techniques and knowledge of the product.
