Job summary

Quality Labor Management (QLM) is seeking Mechanical Quality Control Coordinators to support a large-scale data center project in Clinton, MS. The role focuses on mechanical systems, piping, plumbing, HVAC, and field quality inspections.

Candidates should have hands-on QC experience in commercial/industrial construction, read drawings, and verify installations. Travel is allowed with per diem about $150/day for eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical QC or field inspection experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Knowledge of mechanical piping, plumbing installations, and HVAC construction.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Understanding of inspection procedures, hydrostatic testing, and installation requirements.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field quality inspections of mechanical, piping, plumbing, and HVAC installations.
• Verify installations are square, level, plumb, and compliant with drawings and specs.
• Review mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specs to ensure proper installation.
• Inspect piping systems and mechanical equipment for quality and compliance.
• Understand hydrostatic testing procedures and system verification.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with field personnel.
• Utilize Procore to review observations and track deficiencies.
• Collaborate with field supervisors, subcontractors and project leadership.
• Support quality control efforts throughout all phases of construction.
