KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects from pre-construction through completion. You will manage budgets, schedules, materials, subcontractors, and client communication to deliver safe, compliant projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 3–5 years of PM experience in mechanical construction, with a BS in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and project management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects from award and kick-off through closeout.
  • Transition awarded work from estimating and coordinate engineering, shop drawings, drafting, and submittals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, equipment tracking, and fabrication timelines.
  • Manage budgets, costs, profitability, forecasting, and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Procure equipment and materials and ensure accurate, timely delivery to project sites.
  • Direct subcontractors and coordinate closely with field superintendents and operations teams.
  • Prepare project status reports; price and manage change orders; and review invoices, payment requests, and warranty documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, applicable codes, OSHA requirements, and company safety standards.
  • Lead project meetings, maintain client and vendor relationships, and oversee as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
