Job summary

gpac is seeking an HVAC Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate with engineering, BIM/VDC designers, schedulers, field foremen, customers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and efficient material ordering.

The role requires strong estimation and project management know-how, with a focus on RFIs, change orders, submittals, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC estimating and project management experience.
• Experience across higher education, government, healthcare, industrial and commercial projects.
• Expertise in HVAC cost estimation, plans & specs review, materials research, bid evaluation, and proposals.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends to remain competitive.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.
• Familiarity with energy codes and project specifications.
• Maintain well-organized records of completed estimates.

Responsibilities

• Manage entire mechanical construction projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate with engineering, BIM/VDC designers, schedulers, field foremen, customers, and subcontractors.
• Oversee material ordering, subcontracting, billing, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
• Review detail drawings, perform material take-offs, buyout, and fabrication budgeting.
• Collaborate with Safety Department to analyze and mitigate project risks and ensure safety compliance.
• Plan proactively, resolve issues, and ensure contractual conditions are met with mentorship from Senior PM.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As an HVAC Estimator and Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role by:

• Manage entire mechanical construction projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate with a diverse project team, including engineering, VDC (BIM) designers, scheduler, field foremen, customers, and subcontractors.
• Possess a deep understanding of projects for efficient material ordering, subcontracting, billing, and management of RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
• Oversee fabrication shop work packages, ensuring a clear grasp of content, including detail drawing review, material take-off, buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget.
• Collaborate with the Safety Department to analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Proactively plan, resolve issues, and ensure contractual conditions are met, while working with Senior Project Manager and team for mentorship and training.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 5+ Years of HVAC Estimating / Project Management Experience: A robust foundation in HVAC and/or Piping estimating and project management is essential.
• Diverse Project Portfolio: Showcase your adaptability with demonstrated experience in a variety of project @types, including higher education, government, healthcare, industrial, and commercial building projects.
• Estimation Expertise: Proficiency in estimating HVAC project costs, crafting cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, researching materials, reading blueprints, evaluating bids, and preparing proposals.
• Industry Awareness: Keeping up-to-date with current industry trends to remain competitive.
• Effective Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration.
• Code and Specification Knowledge: Familiarity with energy codes and project specifications.
• Organizational Skills: Maintaining well-organized records of completed estimates.
