Job summary

ICON MECHANICAL is seeking a Project Manager I to join our Project Management team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of PM experience and will support all phases of mechanical construction, ensuring standards, budget, deadlines, and communication are maintained.

Responsibilities include safety coordination, document control, subcontractor coordination, and assisting with fabrication and scheduling activities to help meet project milestones and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or proven working experience in Construction Management is required.
• Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design and standards is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Viewpoint, ProCore, ACC Build, and BlueBeam.
• Familiarity with construction management platforms and strong computer skills are preferred.
• Working knowledge of P6 or Microsoft Project and willingness to learn.
• Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support jobsite safety compliance through inspections and coordination with safety personnel.
• Review and distribute Contract Documents and shop drawings to project teams and vendors.
• Maintain knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor schedules for on-time delivery.
• Assist field execution of mechanical, plumbing, and specialty installations on site.
• Prepare fabrication shop work packages and perform take-off and budgeting tasks.
• Support project scheduling and track progress to meet milestones.
• Coordinate labor, material, equipment logistics and vendor deliveries.
• Monitor job costs, invoices, payables/receivables, and prepare billing schedules.
• Develop project material matrix with teams and prepare startup communications.
• Maintain RFIs and ensure timely responses and documentation.
