Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead technically complex mechanical and plumbing construction projects in Florida.

The role deploys strong project leadership to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. You will mentor engineers, manage cost controls, review submittals, and drive project documentation.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent construction/engineering experience on commercial mechanical and plumbing projects.
• Eight or more years of construction management, estimating, or trade supervision experience.
• Healthcare or large hospital project experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, engineering, scheduling, safety, and related costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead total construction effort to ensure project aligns with design, budget, schedule, and company values.
• Coordinate with clients, departments, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Provide field support to complete projects expeditiously and safely.
• Conduct weekly on-site meetings to ensure planning and execution of scopes.
• Establish job cost breakdowns and values, and review monthly billings for accuracy.
• Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings with schedules.
