CT Mechanical, a division of Comfort Temp Company
Tampa, FL. Full time, on site.
Comfort Temp Company delivers integrated mechanical construction, commercial HVAC service, plumbing, and refrigeration solutions across the southeastern United States. CT Mechanical is our mechanical construction division. We take on complex buildings and make the systems inside them work quietly and reliably in the background.
We run on four things. Do what it takes. Do what you say. Do it with purpose. Do the right thing.
Our goal is to be the best mechanical and plumbing contractor to work for and to do business with in the Southeast.
You own commercial mechanical and plumbing projects from planning through closeout. That means the schedule, the budget, the buyout, the submittals, the subs, and the customer.
Day to day you will be running project meetings, working alongside field supervision, reviewing drawings and submittals, chasing down long lead items before they become a problem, resolving technical and logistical issues, tracking progress against the schedule, supporting accurate and timely billing, and keeping owners, GCs, and internal teams informed.
Your projects finish on schedule and hit or beat their gross margin targets.
Your field team knows what is coming next because you told them early, not because they figured it out on site.
Your billings are accurate and on time, and change orders are documented and approved before the work happens.
Customers and general contractors call you first, and they call you again on the next job.
Experience managing commercial mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing construction projects.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals, and to catch coordination conflicts early.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems and how they get installed in the real world.
Procurement and budget ownership including buyout, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management.
Scheduling and risk management across multiple trades and subcontractors.
Clear, direct communication with field crews, subs, GCs, and owners.
Degree or technical credential in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent contracting experience counts.
Experience with construction management and project accounting software.
Design build or design assist project experience.
Central Florida market and permitting familiarity.
On site in Orlando with regular travel to active job sites. This is not a remote or hybrid role. Project schedules occasionally drive early starts, late finishes, or a weekend shutdown. When that happens, you are there.
Compensation is based on the size and complexity of the projects you have run. Full benefits package.
