Job summary

Poole and Kent Corporation seeks a Project Intern, Mechanical in Lancaster, PA to support the Project Team with coordinating project information for the assigned department. You will assist with document control, schedules, and communications to keep the project on track.

The role requires working authorization in the United States, a relevant degree in progress or completed, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with familiarity of AutoCAD preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management degree in progress or completed, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD encouraged.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Manager in driving project flow from inception to completion.
  • Review contract and bid documents from estimating and understand project scope.
  • Assist with project document control, including insurance, permits, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Ensure documents are stored in the project’s document control system.
  • Support project scheduling and track major equipment deliveries.
  • Assist field personnel with closeout and obtain as-builts.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Project Manager with recommended resolutions.
