Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, Colorado is seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical Products to lead manufacturing execution and industrialization of Physics Package and MOT subsystems. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive risk-based decisions, and ensure readiness for production.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in hardware R&D or high-complexity manufacturing, plus 2+ years leading technical projects. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• 4+ years in hardware R&D, manufacturing, or low-volume, high-complexity environments.
• 2+ years leading technical projects, manufacturing execution, or product industrialization.
• US Person requirement: citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa; US security requirements.
• No PRC or Russian national status unless US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional manufacturing execution for Physics Package and MOT builds with integrated schedules and resource plans.
• Drive readiness reviews, manage risks, remove blockers to delivery.
• Establish scope, ownership, dependencies, and status reporting for industrialization initiatives.
• Coordinate planning cadences, backlog management, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee product transitions through development and manufacturing readiness gates.
• Develop and manage manufacturing infrastructure projects and readiness checklists.
• Coordinate procurement, material readiness, lead times, and supply risk escalation.
• Oversee changes with documentation, disposition, timing, and release readiness.
• Develop charters to improve cost, schedule, quality; ensure timely completion.
