Job summary

Vanderlande in Marietta, GA seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer I to support a major North American e-commerce client program within the RMR team. You will translate sales drawings into a functional mechanical system and develop 3D models, while coordinating with Electrical, Controls, and Installation disciplines.

Travel up to 33% domestically; occasional international travel. Strong teamwork, problem solving, and communication required; experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (or Associate degree in ME/ET with 8 years of related experience).
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 33%, with occasional international travel opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system description.
• Develop 3D models of systems and manage clash detection.
• Produce 2D installation layout drawings and customer approval drawings.
• Perform spatial analysis for clearance envelopes and forklift aisles.
• Document engineering decisions and provide installation guidance for site teams.
