Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Proficiency in computerized HVAC load calculation and energy software.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Professional software.
• Team-orientation and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations including HVAC load calculations, fan static pressure analysis, hydraulic calculations/modeling, and isometric analyses.
• Perform field surveys and assist in the development of HVAC and Central Utility system layout and design.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers, architects, client representation, facility operation personnel, and contractors.
• Conduct facility infrastructure assessments, infrastructure/utility master planning, and performing code and energy evaluations.
• Develop airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, zoning plans, and classification plans.
• Assist in the development of equipment specifications, based on company standards and as coordinated with client and equipment vendor requirements.
• Review equipment submittals and shop drawings, preparing responses to contractor RFI’s, and creating punch lists based on field observation.
• Assist the Lead Mechanical Engineer and Chief Automation Engineer on the development of Instrumentation and Control Design for Mechanical systems.
