Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer II to support the North American Warehouse Solutions Team in Marietta, GA. You will translate drawings into complete mechanical systems, model in 3D, assess clearance and forklift pathways, and collaborate with electrical, controls, and installation teams.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 2+ years of related experience, and up to 50% domestic travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
2+ years of related work experience; or Associate ME/ET with 5 years related experience.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% with occasional international opportunities.
Ability to translate concept-level design into detailed mechanical system drawings.
Strong communication and teamwork in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Translate customer drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system.
3D modeling and clash detection management; create 2D installation drawings.
Perform spatial analysis of clearance envelopes and forklift pathways.
Engineer non-standard mechanical interfaces and project specials as needed.
Document engineering decisions with clear installation files and instructions.
Travel to site to conduct site surveys and assist installation and commissioning.
