Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer I to support a major North American Parcel client program within the RMR team.

The role focuses on translating sales drawings into functional mechanical systems, coordinating with electrical and controls teams, and producing installation layouts and 2D drawings. You will develop 3D system models, perform spatial analyses, and ensure safety and ergonomic standards while coordinating with on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (or Associate degree in ME/ET with 8 years of related experience).
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 33%, with occasional international travel opportunities.
• Ability to translate concepts into detailed designs and work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales drawings into a functional mechanical system description for RfP development.
• Optimize functionality from concept to mechanical design within budget with other disciplines.
• Develop 3D models and manage clash detection.
