The Mechanical Project Engineer I role supports a major Parcel program, balancing technical duties with strong collaboration and on-site communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience (or 8 years with an Associate degree in ME/ET).
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 33%, with occasional international travel opportunities.
• Ability to translate concepts into detailed designs and to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales drawings into a functional mechanical system description for an RfP.
• Optimize functionality from as-sold concept within budget with cross-discipline coordination.
• Develop 3D models and manage clash detection.
• Produce 2D customer approval drawings and installation layouts.
• Perform spatial analysis for clearance envelopes and forklift aisles.
• Document engineering decisions and provide site installation guidance.
• Travel to project sites for site surveys and support installation.
