FTI is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support mechanical systems on hyperscale data center projects. You will coordinate with field leaders, manage RFIs, submittals, and schedules, and ensure safety and quality throughout execution.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 2–6+ years of experience, and travel up to 20%. Hours are typically 6 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package.

The Mechanical Project Engineer (PE - Mech) supports execution of mechanical systems on hyperscale data center projects under the FTI / Excellerate delivery model. This role focuses on coordination, documentation, and technical support for complex cooling systems, prefabricated assemblies, and failure-domain-based infrastructure, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project delivery.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 2 to 6+ years of construction or engineering experience, ideally with a focus on mechanical systems. Experience working on mission-critical or data center projects is preferred, along with a foundational understanding of HVAC and piping systems and familiarity with construction coordination processes.
Travel: 10-20%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
