Mechanical Project Engineer - Construction

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support large-scale construction manufacturing projects requiring exceptional talent. Our environment is fast-paced and exciting, with a focus on energy sustainability and innovative problem-solving.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily construction activities, including Mechanical & Plumbing trades.
• Developing and leading a team to execute MEP works.
• Coordinating contractor activities and resolving field construction issues.
• Ensuring project objectives such as schedule and quality are met through effective interface management.
• Facilitating focus groups to address escalated construction issues.
• Reporting progress and risks to the Construction Director.
• Identifying and mitigating construction-related risks.
• Tracking potential change orders, claims, or disputes.
• Documenting all field activities.
• Focusing on safety, quality, environmental, cultural heritage, and community issues on-site.
• Measuring progress with the construction team and mentoring colleagues.
• Performing other duties as directed by project leadership.

Minimum qualifications:

• BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1-5 years of experience in supervising large industrial projects ($100m+ capex) with global companies.
• Proven expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional team under challenging timelines and budgets.
• Willingness to learn and mentor others.
