Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to own design work, using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM/CAD tools. The role requires a PE license and at least four years of engineering experience, with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and mentor staff.

You will contribute to project delivery in a consulting environment, developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates while ensuring compliance with local codes and PEC standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering from an accredited college is required.
• Minimum four years of engineering experience overall is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in the practice location is required.
• Experience with BIM/CAD software and design of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on multiple projects and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist in proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Perform engineering design and calculations; communicate risks early.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise design tasks as needed.
• Support business development and client relationship building.
