Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants is seeking a Design Engineer to design on multiple projects, using BIM/CAD tools and both hand and computer-based calculations. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal and external design disciplines and maintaining PEC's standard of excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, RAM, Enercalc, Excel, and related software to deliver thorough design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field from an ABET-accredited university.
• Experience with engineering design and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering design and coordination for construction documents in compliance with building codes.
• Participates in construction administration including submittals, site investigations, and RFI responses.
• Performs design and takeoff calculations by hand and with software.
• Organizes multiple projects and tasks to PEC standards.
• Communicates effectively with the design team.
