Job Description

To develop, direct and coordinate projects for Amcor Flexibles North America which involve both mechanical and electrical components.

What You Get To Do
  • Acts as a safety leader.
  • Determines customer’s needs by identifying problems and safety concerns; develops and evaluates alternate solutions to narrow down and define project scope.
  • Coordinates, prepares and/or assembles the engineering package/project documentation for each assigned project.
  • Provides purchasing services for project materials required: reviews potential vendors, contacts vendors, coordinates with Purchasing Department, issues purchase orders, negotiates pricing, and expedites delivery.
  • Coordinates project costs, scheduling, and supplies pertinent communication for projects that may vary in scope and responsibilities.
  • Determines materials required for each project: reviews potential vendors, issues purchase requisitions and expedites delivery when necessary.
  • Interfaces with people, departments, and/or companies to ensure that equipment is safe, made on schedule, and to specification.
  • Coordinates or assists with installation, checkout, start‑up and training as necessary.
  • Provides engineering support and troubleshooting to the plant when machine breakdown issues cannot be solved by maintenance.
  • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and leads teams as requested.

What We Want From You
  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (BSEE, BSME, BSET, BEMT) with 3‑6 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing terminology, processes, and tools.
  • Understanding of business processes and process improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time to support plants.
  • Ability to support onsite 24‑hour on‑call schedule during project go‑lives.
