Job summary

Jobot, a Southern California–based design‑build mechanical contractor headquartered in Gardena, CA, seeks a Mechanical PE to own submittals, RFIs, procurement, and portions of project execution on local design‑build projects.

You’ll work with Project Managers, foremen, and design teams on active projects, support buyout and cost tracking, and coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects moving.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a mechanical contractor (HVAC / plumbing).
• Exposure to design-build projects highly preferred.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, procurement, and project coordination.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination (Navisworks, Revit, etc.) strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting mechanical projects in the $5M+ range is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own submittals, RFIs, procurement, and portions of project execution from day one
• Work directly with Project Managers, foremen, and design teams on active projects
• Support buyout, change orders, and cost tracking
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects moving
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection (Navisworks/Revit environment)
• Track project progress, maintain documentation, and support closeout

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own submittals, RFIs, procurement, and portions of project execution from day one
• Work directly with Project Managers, foremen, and design teams on active projects

• Healthcare/hospital & lab environments (high compliance, active facilities)
• Aerospace and advanced manufacturing facilities
• Higher education campus projects
• Major infrastructure work, including LAX terminal & APM‑related projects

What We are Looking For

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
