Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in our Austin office to advance energy-efficient building solutions for healthcare, science, and education facilities.

You will drive the HVAC design process, collaborate across disciplines, and guide a project team to deliver high-impact results. Ideal candidates have a BSME/BSAE, 10+ years of relevant experience, and PE registration if possible.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. You will develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner's needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Project Engineer:

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
