Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in its San Diego office to drive energy-efficient building solutions and sophisticated HVAC systems for research and healthcare facilities.

You will lead the design process and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact projects that improve environments and sustainability. The role requires a strong background in HVAC design for complex facilities, a track record of leadership, and proficiency with Revit

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE or equivalent engineering degree.
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, healthcare, or higher education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering design programs (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design process on assigned mechanical projects within the discipline.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions aligned with project and client needs.
• Lead the discipline team in implementing engineered solutions.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer in our San Diego office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. You will develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner's needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Project Engineer

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $105,000 to $165,000
