Job summary

Hermanson Company in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I to support project managers on commercial construction sites, coordinating field and office activities. You will manage submittals, RFIs, procurement logs, and coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, and engineers while developing your construction process knowledge.

You will work closely with PMs on multiple projects, ensuring schedules and project goals are met, with opportunity for growth and on-site exposure as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to support field personnel and travel as needed.
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, perform within weather exposures on site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with field, client, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Develop relationships with foremen, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement logs.
• Draft subcontracts and assist with budgeting and change orders.
• Maintain project documentation and communications between field and office.
