Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America seeks an Engineering Co-op – Product Engineering (Mechanical) for a January through August 2027 rotation at our Greene, NY site. You’ll gain hands-on experience on real manufacturing issues, working on Creo-driven design, product validation, and cross-functional development with mentoring from seasoned engineers.

You’ll contribute to multiple projects from concept through production, collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, and Operations

Qualifications

• GPA of at least 3.0.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• Sophomore to Senior standing at time of co-op.
• Full-time on-site availability for 6 month rotation.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate real manufacturing and product issues by working directly on the production floor and collaborating with operators and engineers.
• Design and implement mechanical product improvements using Creo, engineering drawings, and engineering change processes.
• Plan, conduct, and document laboratory, production, and vehicle testing to validate product performance and design changes.
• Own multiple engineering projects from problem identification through design, implementation, and production release with guidance form an experienced engineering mentor.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to solve technical problems and improve products for our customers.
• See your engineering ideas become real products by taking projects from concept through production on industry-leading material handling equipment.
