Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is seeking a Product Electrical/Computer Engineering Co-Op to join our Greene, NY team in 2027. You’ll work under mentorship on design integrity, troubleshooting, and product testing across production and post-production environments.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with motors, controllers, PCB designs, sensors, and control systems while developing skills for a strong engineering career in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Degree programs: Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Academic year: Will graduate prior to January 2029.
• GPA requirement: 2.8 minimum.
• Ability to work onsite for the full duration of the co-op with Spring, Spring & Summer, Summer, Summer & Fall, or Fall terms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, determine solutions, and implement changes to resolve design issues.
• Work on issues related to harnessing, motors & controllers, PCB designs, sensors & encoders, control systems, or electrical-related areas.
• Assist in learning products, testing prototypes, and determining solution activities under mentorship.
• Drive investigation and resolution of design issues to keep production running smoothly.
• Implement design changes to decrease product cost and reduce warranty needs.
• Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for warranty returns.
• Review non-conforming material requests for production usability.
• Design new features to meet market requests.
• Reproduce and diagnose field issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
