JTEKT MACHINERY AMERICAS CORPORATION is seeking a Mechanical Product Engineer in Arlington Heights, IL to provide technical support, create precise drawings and BOMs, and deliver engineering solutions for customer installations and shipments.

The role emphasizes developing and releasing designs, collaborating with teams and vendors, and supporting manufacturing processes. Competitive pay and robust benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of workholding and manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years using AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D modeling.
• Strong applied math skills including geometry, trig, statistics, and flow/pressure calculations.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, part numbers, descriptions, and ERP inventory values.
• Maintain open job logs, prioritize work, and support delivery schedules.
• Initiate engineering releases and purchase requisitions for internal sales orders.
• Analyze customer requests and recommend technical solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on fixture/tooling selection, design, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and project schedules.
• Support special events and business needs as assigned.
