JTEKT Machinery Americas Corporation in the Chicago area is seeking a Mechanical Product Engineer to provide technical support, drawings, BOMs, and engineering solutions to meet customer, installation, and shipment requirements.

The role requires a degreed engineer with 5+ years in workholding and manufacturing, CAD proficiency, and ability to collaborate across teams. Starting pay is $85,000, with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
5+ years of workholding and manufacturing experience.
5+ years using AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, part numbers, descriptions, and ERP inventory values.
Maintain open job logs, prioritize work, and support delivery schedules.
Initiate engineering releases and purchase requisitions for internal sales orders.
Analyze customer requests and recommend technical solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on fixture/tooling selection, design, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and project schedules.
Support special events and business needs as assigned.
