Job summary

BENCHMARK is hiring a full-time Mechanical Preventative Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace while using tools safely.

You should have at least one year of experience, be able to read blueprints, and preferably hold a valid Texas Driver’s License. Compensation starts at $19.85 per hour plus an additional $1 per hour for overnight shifts.

Mechanical Preventative Maintenance Technician

We are hiring a full‑time Mechanical Preventative Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (overnight) at Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas. This role involves maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other small equipment such as vacuums.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the hotel.
• Conduct duty rounds using daily checklists.
• Identify, report, and correct problems; initiate work orders; complete assigned work orders and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.
• Maintain inventory of tools.
• Work safely, using PPE and following safety protocols.
• Use the maintenance request system correctly.
• Assist with maintenance requests for other trades as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret property blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.

Compensation: $19.85 (base) + $1 per hour during the overnight shift.
