Job summary

Jacobs in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Piping Superintendent to lead on-site scheduling, planning and field coordination for Northeast Houston projects. You will ensure the right materials, equipment and skilled trades are available, while safeguarding the safety and well-being of the team and site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering, 5+ years in construction and piping/mechanical work, plus strong communication and leadership skills;

Here’s what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 5 years of construction site experience
• At least 5 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager
• Experience with HVAC, Mechanical, and/or piping and ductwork and Controls

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Pharma experience
• Collaborating in planning, design, construction and commissioning
• Excellent communications skills
• Proficient in use of software as Power Point, Excel, Word, Bluebeam
• Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns and meetings and/or reviews with owner and designers
• Attend constructability reviews
• Lead client and construction meetings.
• Safety leader (JHA’s revision / daily signed off permits)
• Quality in construction
• Turn over process including TOP’s, punch list and walkdowns with contractors and owners.

The base salary range for this position is $100,500.00 to $160,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
