Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Piping Superintendent in Northeast Houston, TX who will lead daily scheduling and planning on the project site, ensuring the right materials, equipment and people are available to get the job done. You will prioritize safety and health, mentor team members, and coordinate with owners and designers to drive quality and timely turnover.

This role requires HVAC, mechanical and piping knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to manage field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• At least 5 years of construction site experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager.
• Experience with HVAC, Mechanical, and/or piping and ductwork and Controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site.
• Ensure right materials, equipment and personnel are available to complete work.
• Prioritize safety, health and well‑being of the team and the environment.
• Lead client and construction meetings and coordinate with designers.
• Facilitate walkdowns, constructability reviews, and turnover processes with contractors and owners.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 5 years of construction site experience
• At least 5 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager
• Experience with HVAC, Mechanical, and/or piping and ductwork and Controls

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Collaborating in planning, design, construction and commissioning
• Excellent communications skills
• Proficient in use of software as Power Point, Excel, Word, Bluebeam
• Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns and meetings and/or reviews with owner and designers
• Attend constructability reviews
• Lead client and construction meetings.
• Safety leader (JHA’s revision / daily signed off permits)
• Quality in construction
• Turn over process including TOP’s, punch list and walkdowns with contractors and owners.

The base salary range for this position is $100,500.00 to $160,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
