Job summary

New Indy Catawba is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to oversee the safe and efficient planning of all mechanical work in the Paper area at Catawba Mill. The role coordinates with operations, maintenance, engineering, and safety teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance, while driving reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using Maximo or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with production and maintenance staff to plan and schedule the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Coordinates and prioritizes maintenance work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and safety staff.
• Fully utilize current information, procedures, and work methods to positively impact equipment reliability.
• Provides technical leadership as necessary to production and/or maintenance employees.
• Demonstrates a full commitment to safety processes and policies, integrating safety into planning.
• Maintain outage schedules during shutdowns and participate in scheduling meetings.
• Contact outside contractors as necessary for quotes.
