Job summary

PACKAGING CORPORATION OF AMERICA is seeking a Maintenance Planner for Counce Mill to plan maintenance work across areas of the mill. The role requires strong planning, scheduling and coordination with internal teams.

Required: high school diploma, 2–4 year technical degree, 5+ years in industrial maintenance; experience with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD and Project. Competitive pay and benefits.

• Experience with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD and Project.

Responsibilities

• Plan work orders including manpower, time estimates, materials and tools.
• Serve as relief supervisor/foreman for vacations and absences.
• Enter stores requests for stock equipment and material.
• Work under pressure, multi-task and maintain relationships with customers.
• Maintain excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for parts and equipment.
• Prepare extraordinary expense and capital expenditure requests.
• Prepare daily schedules and outage plans.
• Review spare parts requirements and stock requests.
• Assemble data and estimates for budgets.
• Coordinate contract work and outside services.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and be available for maintenance needs.
