Job summary

ANDRITZ in Hartford City, IN is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize and coordinate maintenance at a paper mill. You will develop detailed job plans, manage work orders in a CMMS, and align schedules with operations and contractors to maximize equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in maintenance planning, strong Excel skills, and experience with CMMS; exposure to pulp/paper or heavy manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance planning or related industrial experience.
• Experience using a CMMS to plan, schedule, and manage work orders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance work to maximize reliability and safety.
• Review, prioritize, and plan work orders generated through the CMMS.
• Develop detailed job plans with labor, durations, tools, permits, and materials.
• Coordinate weekly and daily maintenance schedules with operations and contractors.
• Ensure documentation, procedures, drawings, and safety requirements are included.
• Maintain and improve planning/compliance metrics and PM tasks in the CMMS.
• Utilize Maximo for work order management, planning, and reporting.
• Identify long-lead parts, coordinate with storeroom and procurement.
• Support preventive/predictive maintenance and root cause investigations.
• Track KPIs: Schedule/PM compliance, backlog, MTBF, availability, costs.
