Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years’ experience in industrial environment with demonstrated knowledge in Mechanical maintenance repair methods, tools, materials, and equipment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical/problem solving skills
• Self-directed with good time and project management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to learn and use computer scheduling software effectively
• Proficient in SAP or SAP-PM, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Understands complex safety systems (ZES, Confined Space, Hotwork, LOTO, etc.)

Responsibilities

• A Mechanical Planner will improve the work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through job planning.
• Analyze jobs before scheduling to determine safety requirements, manpower, time, methods, detail job plans, materials, and other resources.
• Create and send scope packages through Purchasing for bids to contractors.
• Maintain planned work order backlog lists, weekly work list, and area job libraries.
