Job summary

International Paper in Redwood, MS is seeking a Maintenance Planning Manager to lead the electrical and mechanical planners for the mill and serve as the Annual Outage Coordinator. You will verify work orders, align planning with the GMS manual, and drive inventory optimization.

The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance planning experience in a pulp and paper setting, plus proficiency with SAP and MS Project/Office, and a track record of building effective teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; post-secondary degree preferred.
• 3-5 years Maintenance Planning experience.
• Pulp & Paper Mill Maintenance Technician/Planning experience preferred.
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plans maintenance work to be scheduled for a future date and tracks performance.
• Screens Work Orders for completeness and correctness.
• Conducts site reviews with maintenance personnel to confirm job scope.
• Estimates costs of Work Orders including labor, materials and services.
• Ensures Work Orders are analyzed to basic steps and required parts/tools.
• Verifies purchase requisitions with specifications and delivery timelines.
• Solicits proposals to secure goods and services as needed.
• Audits availability of parts and tools prior to scheduling jobs.
• Develops staging practices and maintenance schedules.
• Obtains necessary documentation (drawings, manuals) for Work Orders.
• Prepares preventive maintenance check sheets and schedules.
• Maintains equipment history files and spare parts inventories.
• Supports outage planning and 12-month event scheduling.
