Responsibilities

The Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic I performs maintenance, installation and repair work on mechanical systems, equipment and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of mechanical technology.

Hours and Location

Hours: Full time (40 hours), Rotating Shift, Weekend work required

Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, 600 N Wolfe St, Baltimore, MD 21287

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program approved/accepted by local or state government.
  • Johns Hopkins Hospital Certification
  • 5 years related work experience. The full-time equivalent spent in an approved program may count toward the 5-year work experience requirement.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of electrical techniques, codes, procedures and materials.
  • Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
  • Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.

Salary

Salary Range: Minimum 26.96/hour - Maximum 31.30/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. Salary discussions occur during candidate screening calls where applicable.
