Weyerhaeuser provides a Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician position at the Arcadia OSB Mill in Simsboro, LA. The role requires repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of high-tech OSB equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in electrical or millwright roles, be able to work 12-hour shifts, and read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years maintenance millwright or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be proficient in electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
• Must read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Experience using maintenance tools.
• Must pass a pre-employment technical test.
• Must attach a resume or provide work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to operations and lead preventative maintenance work.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to meet mill needs promptly with safety as the primary consideration.
• Cross train in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance for troubleshooting and preventative work.

Weyerhaeuser Company has an opening for a skilled Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician at our Arcadia Oriented Strand Board Mill (OSB) located in Simsboro, Louisiana. Seeking qualified candidates with a comprehensive knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment, processes, and techniques to safely repair, modify, install, and maintain the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment. Weyerhaeuser Arcadia OSB is located in Lincoln parish. We are approximately 20 minutes west of Ruston and 30 minutes east of Minden. We offer a competitive starting wage along with Gainsharing bonus opportunities. Benefits include 401K match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. The wage for this role is $35.68 per hour.

Key Functions:

• The Multi-craft Maintenance technician will provide maintenance support to operations and lead preventative maintenance work.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to act promptly to meet mill needs in an environment where safety is always the lead consideration before performing any task.
• Able to fully cross train in all areas of maintenance which includes but is not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Willing to attend training both onsite and offsite, as required.
• Utilize computerized maintenance systems and have the ability to demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision making.
• Dedicated, self-motivated individual who will actively participate in meetings, team feedback, & team building.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years maintenance millwright or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, to include weekends and holidays as schedule requires.
• Must be proficient in a minimum of two areas including electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
• Must read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Experience using maintenance tools.
• Ability to work at heights, and in extreme heat and cold conditions.
• Personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations, to include ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment technical test.
• Must attach a resume to application or include work history to be considered.

Preferred:

• Vocational or technical school certificate in related area.
• Experience with SAP or another CMMS.
• PLC troubleshooting and/or programming experience.
• Stable work history.
