Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is hiring entry-level production team members for its Arcadia OSB mill in Simsboro, LA. Starting pay is $19.54/hour with gainsharing bonus opportunities and a benefits package including 401K match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Responsibilities include operating manufacturing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety. Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, weekends/holidays, and pass background and drug

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to cross-train and learn new jobs/skills.
• Able to perform basic math and use computers.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, walk catwalks, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment to produce OSB.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to team safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Manage product flow using forklifts and other equipment.
• Complete shift paperwork and records; participate in meetings and training sessions.

DescriptionWeyerhaeuser Company is seeking qualified candidates for full-time entry level production team members at our Arcadia Oriented Strand Board Mill (OSB) located in Simsboro, Louisiana.Starting pay is $19.54/hour.Competitive starting wage along with Gainsharing bonus opportunities. Benefits include 401K match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.Key Functions:Responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces oriented strand board.Perform regular Preventive Maintenance and clean-up on equipment.Work safely and effectively in a team environment.Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues on a regular basis.Involvement in ongoing process improvement in the work area.Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.Perform quality checks and ensure production of a quality product.Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Willingness & ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule which will include weekends and holidaysGood communication skills.Ability to work within a team setting.Willingness and ability to cross train to learn new jobs & skills.Able to perform basic math and use computers.Ability to perform the essential job functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.Willingness to work in Simsboro, LA without requiring relocation assistance.Must attach a resume which adequately documents employment history and/or include information on application.Preferably two (2) years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.About Wood ProductsWe've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
